EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED! (Update: Gotta pay!)
-
Edit: So, I left my review below so you can see my thoughts on it initially. As you can see, I thought there was a scheme going on where I was automatically put on the paid account and I was correct…to a point. You get 300 impressions FOR A YEAR on your widget. Just by me testing it out on a test spin up, I had already accumulated more than half of the allowed impressions for the year. Despite this and after looking for other addons, I went with the paid version of this. It’s easy to use and you can see what I like about it below from my initial impression. I just think the bait and switch is deceitful. However, if just want Google reviews, the widget does provide that for free. I wanted to display FB reviews as well and to omit the ones that were duplicate reviews from displaying. Overall, this plugin does everything I want and since I’m now a paying customer, I don’t plan on donating like I mention below.
Original review:
On and off over the last couple of years I’ve been looking for a good reviews add-on that would showcase the reviews from multiple sources…only to not find ones that met my needs or ones that were $$/yr to run. I don’t need much, just to show what people are saying and the stars they’ve given. I love the options that are provided just by creating a free account on their website. If you tag certain reviews, you can use the tag to filter the reviews to only shows those of that tag. This has been huge for me since my patients have reviewed me on Google and Facebook so being able to display one out of the two helps us look more professional and potential patients can see what more people are saying and not the duplicates. The other option I like is having it in a grid view instead of a slider and being able to pick how many reviews will show in the grid! It even works PERFECTLY ON MOBILE! Color options are great too. There are so many things you can tinker with!!
The only thing I don’t get is on this plugin page it says that you get all these things with a free account but when you go to their site and click upgrade, they list a few of those things as the paid account. I currently have the widget up and running the way I want it, I just hope that the account isn’t on some temporary pro version and it will break once that time is up. If that’s the case, I’ll be changing the stars but if it holds true to what I’m currently seeing, I’m in friggin heaven right now! Kudos and props to the team. I will likely end up donating to the team if this free account keeps these features and nothing breaks on my site! <3
