Exactly what I needed

  • The stupid change in bbpress to the bcc option totally broke my site functionality; I created a [email protected] email, and yes, emails were being sent to that address, but the actual person who created the bbpress topic never received an email.. i wasted 8 hours of my life trying to fix this problem, then I found this plugin… in 10 seconds it solved the entire problem… THANK YOu Markus, and a small “screw you” to bbpress for changing that.. they should at least give one the option of how they want their emails handled..

    You’re welcome and thanks for the review. I’m glad the plugin is helping you. I was actually approached to add this to bbPress core and I wrote a patch. The plugin code is extremely defensive so I wouldn’t have to adapt it a lot when bbPress changes. The core patch is much more progressive and has much better performance.

    The patch is not currently enjoying a lot of bbPress dev attention, so I have no idea if and when it’s going to be in bbPress, but if you have thousands of subscribed users the performance boost may be well worth the time spent patching.
