Exactly what I need, but doesn't work with Custom User Roles

  • I was very excited to find this. Unfortunately it doesn’t work with custom roles, which are very important to my site. Will update review in the future if things change.

    Along with “Private content” use a plugin to manage your custom roles, like Members.

    Simply add any of the “Private Content” plugin’s capabilities to your custom role.

    Members isn’t compatible with 4.0, but is this workaround possible with Capability Manager Enhanced? That’s what I’m using right now.

    I looked around before posting, but if you say there’s a workaround I’ll delete that review, even if I can’t achieve it without Members.

    Sure, you can use Capability Manager Enhanced too.

    In the Users / Capabilities menu, load the custom role ad assign the capability you want from the “Additional Capabilities” section.
