    Hello,

What is the difference between EWWW’s lazy loading vs WordPress’ lazy loading? Which one is “better”? I use EWWW but considering if lazy loading needs to be active in the plugin when it is already handled by WP. Are there any pros or cons?

    Thanks!

WP uses browser-native lazy loading, EWWW IO uses JavaScript-based lazy loading.
The EWWW IO lazy loader maintains support for more users/browsers, and also features auto-scaling ability to help your image (size/dimensions) adapt to whatever device size is used by the visitor.

There are compatibility concerns with both methods. Some JS-based image functions don’t handle native lazy loading very well. But we’ve also had issues with certain CSS and our auto-scaling option (which is why it’s optional).

I think ours is better, which is why it still exists ?? If it wasn’t better, I’d get rid of it!
