• I have been using the theme on the site for awhile. I just upgraded WP to 4.6.1. My menu going across the top of my page now expands when anything is clicked on it. Normally, when clicking Home, About, Contact Us, etc. it would just go to that page. Now when I click on any of them, it drops down the same full menu that normally goes across, then I have to click on the item I want to go to the page. How do I get rid of the drop down and go back to it just going straight to the page desired?

Can you point me in a certain direction on how to check for plugin conflict or anything else I can check?

    Hi,

    To check for plugin conflict.

You can disable one plugin at a time, clear your cache content if you are using a cache plugin, clear your browser history and re-visit your menu to check if it’s working properly.
Do this for every plugin until you find the plugin that’s causing this issue.

    Thank you

I have the same issue and nothing helps. I tried deactivating plugins, doesn’t work. I updated a clients website and now having this issue. The site is in maintenance mode right now but if you need a link I can deactivate the maintenance mode and provide you with the link.
All the other issues after updating I have solved but not this one. Please help!

Has anyone figured this out yet? I updated the evolve theme as well and the menus are all messed up big time. It is acting like a mobile menu on non-mobile devices. Now there is some button on the right of the menu that has shown up and drops the menu like a mobile device and all menus you click drop these huge menu’s down.

Nevermind… I went ahead and updated to the latest version of WordPress and that fixed it all.

I solved the problem as well but not by updating WP. I did that offcourse but that didn’t solve it. My solution was to remove the header.php from my childtheme. The parent header.php after updating the theme was very different to the child header.php. But it was overruled by the old header.php in my child. So by removing that header.php from my child the header.php from the parent became the leading one and that solved the problem.
