Evil Front Page sees no HTML changes.
-
Basically, whatever page I set as Front Page totally does not include my HTML changes to the template chosen.
_____
WordPress 4.4.2 running Advertica Lite Child theme.
What I’m Touching:
– Using a child theme.
– Created a WordPress page called “HOME”.
– Created an HTML template called “Custom 1”.
– Upload files via SFTP (WPEngine hosting)
– Everything was updating just fine until last night, when my HTML changes suddenly stopped updating despite the latest changes uploaded to the server.A) Caching Issue? – Last night went in my WPEngine backend and purged my cache + reset file permissions. Slept for a nighttime. In the morning, saw no content updated on “HOME”, the Front Page.
B) Template Error? – Created a new page in WordPress called “Test”, gave it my “Custom 1” template, everything is updated. But when I make “Test” set as my site Front Page, the pages shows an old version of the template before the most recent changes. For example, latest changes to the template includes a purple image. That image shows on all pages that aren’t set as Front Page.
C) Theme Issue? – I’ve only made HTML & CSS files that I’ve uploaded as custom templates. I haven’t touched any of the core theme files. My child theme directory includes only two custom template-blahblah.php files + style.css + functions.php.
D) SFTP? – I’m very confident that my files on the server are living in their proper spots. I can obviously see my themes in the editor template dropdown + I can see my latest CSS changes when inspecting “HOME”, the Front Page. The HTML is the only thing not updating properly whenever WordPress identifies it as Front Page.
Why don’t my recent changes to my custom template show up on my Front Page?
