    Hi there,

    My domain name: “example.com”
All my site content is in sub-directory: “example.com/eng” which I cloned to
“exemple.com/eng/ru” where everything works, plugins, menus, content etc.

BUT when I go to filezilla under “exemple.com/eng” I don’t see the folder “/ru” so I can’t upload any new content etc.

WHY ? HOW i can change it or where I did something wrong?

Hope I was clear, and really hope for some answer soon.
    Tnanx a lot.

Hi! That’s not really how WordPress multisite works. The /eng/ru path is a virtual path in the database that WordPress handles dynamically. All file storage (media files) are saved in a structure under /wp-content/uploads/sites/ID where ID is the site ID of a particular site.

It’s still a single site / installation of WordPress from an FTP standpoint. I hope this helps. You might find some good details on WP Multisite structure in the Codex and tutorials.

    All the Best!

    Hi,

I have multisite. Main site under “example.com/eng” and I created multisite in order to change language manually for everything on that site and I can do it normally everywhere from “/ru” dashboard on wordpress. Sad that this little detail breaks all my expectations (that there is no directory where I can change everything like on “eng” subdirectory).

Is there a way to link files through that Id’s directory ? (haven’t tried)

    Thanx.
