Everything looks good from here, but won't redirect

    Given the above circumstances, what are some of the things I should check that might cause the redirect to fail?

    Is your WP install in the /blog directory? If so, your redirect should just be /?p=29.

    Do you have permalinks setup? Can you push exactly what you have in your redirect_from and redirect_to?

    what Am I doing wrong?

    Mine was also not working (still resulting in a 404 error). That portion of the problem turned out to be a conflict with another plugin.

    After deactivating the other plugin, I’m now dealing with a redirect loop error..<sigh>
