    I’m not sure I understand; Jetpack doesn’t include any messaging feature. Could you give me more details about your issue?

    Hi,
    first, thanks for your reply.

    Ok I’m new to twitter and I think I probably misunderstand the way it works.
    I wrote a private message to someone on twitter, like : @someone blahblahblah.
    And the message appears in the timeline plugin, visible to anyone, it seems.

    Yes, mentions are indeed public if your Twitter profile is public.

    If you’d like to send Private messages, you’ll need to use the “Message” function:
