    Hi there,

So, basic problem: the events slug doesn’t seem to be loading a current version of the event view. Currently the default is list and it does indeed show events in a list view but recently added events won’t show up for a couple days sometimes. However if you go to events/list then it shows everything immediately updated. It does not seem to be a plugin issue as deactivating all of them except Events Calendar reproduces the problem. I inspected the page and no errors popped up in my console. If I change the default view to month view it doesn’t seem to be propagate quickly either. But again, going into /events/month loads and shows all recently created events immediately.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Oh i’ve also tried purging the cache in my cpanel with no effect. and it’s NSFW since the links go to an adult toy store events page

    Hey @dabookbinder

It definitely sounds like some type of cache-related issue.
We do have suggested settings for most caching solutions in our knowledge base.

Can you check if you are indeed following those recommendations?
Please note that we are working on issues with Redis Object Cache at the moment.

If that doesn’t help, the next test would be to revert to the 2021 theme on a staging site to see if the issue persists.

    Please keep us posted,
    Geoff

    Hi,

I disabled our caching solutions in testing and was still encountering the same issues. Though I did follow instructions for optimizing caching before disabling the cache plugins altogether.

I deactivated the theme and sure enough the events page stayed the same and did not change its theme like the rest of the site did. However, the events/list still showed the updated events even though the theme seemingly hadn’t changed.

    Also weird thing I noticed:
    1. load up /events and can’t see updated events
    2. click list view (which loads /events/list) and can see updated events
    3. click events link (loading /events) and can still see updates
    4. refresh /events page and can no longer see updates.

Also server support increased PHP memory which seemed to fix it but I’ve made some more update tests and still having that weird issue. It’s like the /events page isn’t properly loading the information from /events/list

Hi @dabookbinder, apologies for the delay here.

Appreciate you sharing more information here. I was able to view the website, and I could see that the pages are now loading correctly.

Moreover, if the issue persists, could you try flushing permalinks? https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/fixing-http-404-errors/#flush-permalinks

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Best,
    Abz
