events plugin?

Hi, I am looking for an ‘events’ plugin to add to my wordpress site. When I search for ‘events’ in the plugin search field, some come up. Is there a way to sort these by ‘most downloaded’? I want to find something that is widely used and supported. Why can’t one sort by keyword and ‘most downloaded’? What am I missing here?

One last thing, why is it that most plugins have a screenshot of the backend ‘admin’ panel, but not an actual look of how it is on the front-end? A working example?
