'Events' page showing home page content

I had to solve the problem without necessarily waiting for the ‘correct’ fix, so I changed the permalink structure from /%ppost%/ to /%page%/. That seems to have taken care of it. However, I would like to know if anyone knows what the real fix is.

I’m not sure: I’m guessing that was a type when you wrote %ppost% in your last reply, as it should of course be %post%, but beyond that it ought to work.

Is it still an issue if you use only a default, unmodified theme and deactivate all other plugins? Perhaps there is a conflict somewhere.

You’re right – it was a typo. Sorry about that.

I think we are going to use the pro version of the plugin once things get up and running, so we will likely have to revisit this issue, but for now, it is working and nothing else broke when I changed the permalink structure, so I’m okay with that.

This happened to me as well, and it completely over-wrote my existing events page. I’m not savvy enough to know how to fix it, so I’ve uninstalled the plugin.

@westerngeomancy: sorry to hear that. If you do want to give it another try and need help (not quite sure how your existing events page could be overwritten … we’d need to explore that) then please feel free to create a new thread of your own at any point.

I am having the exact same problem with that plugin today. Is the only fix to change the permalink structure because I don’t really want to do that. I have deleted the plugin and this is still happening.
