Hi I updated the events page plug in yesterday. There was an error message and the events page de-installed, disappeared, and will not reinstall because it says it already exists. But it is nowhere to be found. I need assistance, a walk through, or something to help me get this back. It will not let me reinstall and I can’t find where it still exists to deinstall the updated version. If you go to https://cheetah.org/ and choose the drop down menu at news and blog, you see the events section as it used to be but it circles back to the home page upon clicking. Please help.

    Hi heathercheetah.org,

I’m sorry you’re having trouble. It sounds like you tried to do a manual update instead of using the WordPress Updates page or Plugins page links, is that correct?

I hope that you have a backup of your site pre-update, just in case. I’d also recommend that you backup your site now. Next, you’ll want to go to the WordPress folder on your computer and delete the folder called the-events-calendar (under yoursite/wp-content/plugins).

Once you have deleted that, you can install the most recent version of our plugin (3.6.1) as downloaded here. Once that is activated, your site should work again. If not, we need to look into a theme or plugin conflict that could be causing the problem.

    Best,
    Leah
