Events not shown in admin

    Both of these sounds like possible conflicts caused by your theme or another plugin. To check if it is, can you test with all other plugins deactivated and while running the default WordPress theme?

    It seems that changing to twentyfifteen fixes the admin issue but the worrying thing is that the theme which I am using is the Divi by ElegantThemes and is very popular and widely used.

    By changing to the twentyfifteen did NOT resolve the issue that events are listed as newest blog entry.

    Update. It seems that there is a bug. I had same named blog posts which was identical to page name where the shortcode was inserted.

    maybe you can try to ask for a help in your theme developer and it might be a quick fixed to theme related to custom post types.
