events not showing with posts

i am using https://theeventscalendar.com, and i’ve selected ‘Include events in main blog loop’
but because my site https://letartliveon.com uses a static front page, i’m using d-ps-c. but apparently d-p-scode doesn’t use the main blog loop…so while i’m perusing the wiki https://github.com/billerickson/Display-Posts-Shortcode/wiki
