    fixed it! had to run mysql_update to update privs on the DB. PHEW!

    what exactly do you mean you ran mysql_update on the DB? is that a SQL command or a wordpress function? where did you ‘run’ it?

    I’m having the same issue… although mine seems to be perhaps an issue with multisite too.

    It is a server command. How I stumbled upon it was going into my phpMyAdmin console and doing “check permissions” on the wordpress database (I can’t remember exactly how to nav there, I’ll update you on that later). That function spit out an error that led me realizing that the permissions on my DBs were F’d up.

    I’m not sure that’s the response you were looking for, but maybe it gives you some hints.

    I’m not using traditional hosting, so YMMV.
