  • As is stands right now it’s “working”. One of the events just suddenly showed up today without me doing any further troubleshooting leading me to believe it was a time related issue. My other event that’s free still isn’t showing.

When I deleted and then re-dded Eventbrite I just selected Eventbrite which was now at the top and not in the lower list and it just re-added it with no other action on my part. I then would hit Test just to make sure it was properly communicating and it worked each time. Doing this though didn’t make it show up any quicker so I just stopped for the night and waited for their respond to my thread which still hasn’t happened. But I checked today and it was working.

So I’m waiting to hear back from them.

    Hi eddadee,

No, we haven’t received any admin details; can you resend? Also, curious if you log in to eventbrite.com, or is it another top-level domain, such as eventbrite.co.uk?

Is there a better email to send the admin details to? It didn’t get bounced back, so it must have arrived.

I will resend. Please check the bulk/spam mail.

    Thanks!

    Hi eddadee,

I got your creds and took a look, but things are set up properly, and we’ve got two events showing on the events page. Are you still having any other issues?

Eventbrite has been having authentication problems (getting prompted to create a new event, rather than to authenticate) with those who signed up on TLDs other than .com (eg. eventbrite.com.au, like the email your account is on). I’m curious if you’re using that email to log in to eventbrite.com (and that’s how you got authenticated this time), or did you successfully authenticate while logged in to eventbrite.com.au?

Sorry – I solved this just a bit ago with the help of the Eventbrite tech support team.

It seems that I needed to clear my browser cache and retry.

Also, I needed to create a different app with different return pages for different websites.

    Thanks for your help!

Actually, still have one small issue – I have 3 live events – 2 of them have free tickets, 1 is paid – the 2 free events are being listed, but the other is not:

    https://careerchoicesaustralia.com.au/events/

    https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/baulkham-hills-find-your-career-friday-april-24-2015-registration-11802243829 (not showing)

    https://www.eventbrite.com.au/myevent?eid=15969020771 (showing)

    https://www.eventbrite.com.au/myevent?eid=16006027459 (showing)

    Any ideas?

    Whereas, on this site:

    All 3 are being listed…?

Great, glad you got it sorted.

I can’t see why that one event wouldn’t show; does the disconnect-reconnect dance help?

    (@eddadee)

    No – it doesn’t help.

Why is it showing up fine on the one site, but no the other?

    Hi eddadee,

Why is it showing up fine on the one site, but no the other?

The two handle events differently (different way of using caching, checking for new events), although they should show the same thing within a day or two.

We now have four test events showing (#2-5); is that what you expect at this time?

Hi eddadee, are the correct events showing at this point?
