Hello! The update has caused my events that were created before the update to stop showing on my calendar, both past events and present events. I’ve discovered that if I edit an event and change the time and save it that it will then show up, and I can edit the time back and re-save, but there are over 400 items and I’d really rather not do this manually with all of them. Do you have any suggestions as to how I can get the events to all show back up again? Let me know if I can provide any additional information!

    Thanks!!

    Hi @jessicapjones

    Thanks for reaching out.

Could you try flushing your permalinks and check if that resolves the issue?

If that doesn’t help, could you provide the version of the following? This will help me understand how your system is set up.

    • PHP
    • WordPress
    • The Events Calendar
    • Theme

Thank you for your response! I tried flushing the permalinks and it did not fix the issue. Here’s the information you asked for:

    • PHP version: 7.4.33
    • WordPress version: 6.1.1
    • The Events Calendar: 6.0.7.1
    • Theme: Divi, version 4.19.4

It’s the same for me too, if I create a new event it won’t show in either list/calendar view. If I hit update again (even without changing anything) then it will display!

    Hi @jessicapjones @lee74

There could be a plugin/theme conflict on your end. Could you try running a conflict test??I suggest conducting these tests on a Staging Server.

I’d like to check if this is related to the migration issue. Before your update, what was the version you were using? In addition, were you already successfully migrated to the new Event Data System?

I used the plugin Health Check & Troubleshooting to do a conflict test, and used the theme Twenty-Twenty as suggested in your documentation. The events still didn’t show, so it doesn’t appear to be a plugin or theme conflict causing the issue.

The site has automatic updates enabled so I believe it was using the next most recent version prior to this and the events were showing previously. This site was also only launched in November, which is when the client began adding events to the calendar, so most of the events were added post the 6.0 migration, and were working until the recent update.

    Hi @jessicapjones

Thanks for your response. When you view the event details page (the event that does not show on your calendar), does it load without problems?

If you have a caching plugin or server-side caching (object cache, etc), could you disable it for now and check if that makes a difference?

    (@jessicapjones)

The events that aren’t visible on the calendar are showing No Results Found if I view their details page. There is a caching plugin we’re using on the site; in troubleshooting previously I had cleared the cache multiple times to no effect, but I went ahead and disabled it completely for now. We do not have server-side caching.

Hi @jessicapjones, thanks for providing more information here, and I appreciate you trying it out. In line with caching, I could see that you’re using LiteSpeed. Could you follow the article on setting up The Events Calendar with LiteSpeed? See if that makes a difference. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/litespeed-cache/

Let us know how it goes.

It didn’t work when the plugin was disabled completely so I didn’t expect this would help but I went ahead and gave it a try, no change. Would it help for me to create an admin login for you to troubleshoot?

    Hi @jessicapjones

Thanks for your response. Would it be possible for you to set up a <u>staging version of your live site</u> and try to re-do the migration from it? This is to recreate the proper event data and should fix the 404 issues.

Here are the steps to revert and re-do the migration:

    1. Update to the latest versions of The Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro.
    2. Remove any un-needed draft events and empty the Trash.
    3. Install and activate the <u>Code Snippets</u> plugin.
    4. Add <u>this snippet</u> and run it once (be sure it does not stay activated).
    5. Go to Events > Settings > Upgrades and go through the migration process again.

Please re-do the migration on your staging site.

Let me know how it goes.

    Hi @jessicapjones

I’m glad that I was able to help you on this one.

If you have some time to review, that would be amazing!
