  • Hi @lfedele,

Thanks for reaching out, and I’m sorry to hear that you’re having some problems here! Can you confirm what theme and version number you’re using, as well as which version of The Events Calendar you’re running? If possible, we’d like to see if we can replicate this issue on a separate site install.

    Thank you!

    Hi Caroline,
here are the information you asked for.

    WordPress 4.7.2
    Theme: Lounge 1.8.3
    The Events Calendar: 4.4.1.1

Please let me know if you can help.

    Best regards

    Hi @lfedele,

Thanks for following up with some more information here! Unfortunately, as your theme appears to be a premium theme, we’re not able to test further and attempt to replicate the problem on our end. Since the calendar works when a default WordPress theme is activated, it’s likely that the problem is due to a conflict with the theme itself. I’d suggest reaching out the theme developer once more, if possible, as they’ll likely be in the best position to assist with troubleshooting from this point!

I’m sorry we couldn’t do more to assist here, but I hope this information helps to get you started! Thanks again for taking the time to reach out, and please don’t hesitate to let us know if there’s anything else we can do for you!

    Hi Caroline,
as you can see from the following screenshot, it seems there is a plugin error. I already got in touch with the theme developer who said it depends on you since it is the plugin which returns the error.

To replicate the error just access page directly, and do no load home page first or any other page.

    Hope you can help.

    Hi Shelby,
I’ve been finally able to locate the problem. When I change month, it uses the placeholder “Keyword” as search keyword, so it does not display any result even if I did not input any keyword.

Can you suggest how to fix this?

    Thanks.

    Best regards

    Hey @lfedele,

Thanks for working through the documentation I sent, that’s super helpful! ??

Since it sounds like everything is working with default themes I’d suggest reaching out to your theme developer for support with this issue, as we, unfortunately, can’t support theme conflicts on this forum.

Best of luck with your project! Let us know should you have any questions in the future!

    Best,

    Hi @shelbelliott,
I’ve probably not been able to let you understand what I mean. Taking a closer and deeper look at the problem I realized there’s not any issue with both plugin and theme. What makes no results showing is the placeholder “Keyword” in the search field. Even if it should only be a placeholder, the plugin uses it as search keyword, returning no results.

Could you let me know how to fix this, please?

    Thanks for your time.

    Best regards
