Like others I have tried the fixes mentioned. The connection/plugins are setup and working but no events are listed. If I use the twenty fifteen template it comes up with: Nothing Found
It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching can help.

The custom template the site is set up on shows nothing and the template blows out completely if I set the eventsbrite theme in the page. I’m not sure how to optimise the custom theme for eventbrite, I looked on the page about doing that but have no idea. Given that the events don’t show with a default theme though there’s obviously a bigger issue.

The site is not live – it’s in maintenance mode so I’m not sure how to proceed…

    Hi,

Are you trying to use one of the Eventbrite themes from the .org repo with this plugin? That will definitely not work, they’re made to use this plugin.

But you’re right, this plugin should work with Twenty Fifteen. If the plugin was activated and the page was loaded before any events were live and active, then the plugin has cached those empty results. The easiest way to force the plugin to try again is to go to Keyring > Tools, delete the Eventbrite connection and reconnect.

Other than disconnecting and reconnecting, just verify that the events you’re expecting are all live and public.

No I am using a random theme called theme52702…
I have posted new live test events, and I have enabled and disabled the connection through keyring plugin.
It is now live though on a test site at:
    https://www.lcia.org.au/finodesigns/events-2/

Also, do events HAVE to be public? Is there a way around this? I’ve had non-public events work ok on a wordpress.com/eventbrite template – will they work using this app?

Great, glad to hear it’s sorted.

Yes, you’re right, the default on WordPress.com was to display private events, which was an error on our part; so this plugin rightfully only display public events by default. It is easy to change, however. If you email [email protected] with your email, I can send you a basic plugin that allows private events (it’s not available on the plugin repo yet).

Hi, the plugin is available here for now:

    https://github.com/Automattic/eventbrite-api-display-private-events

Just click the Download ZIP button at the bottom right, and then upload that ZIP to your WordPress site at Plugins > Add New in the admin.
