    Hi Nick

    https://www.bethnalgreenacademy.co.uk/
All of a sudden the events are no longer showing I’m getting this on the widget

Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /home/cluster-sites/7055/b/bethnalgreenacademy.co.uk/public_html/wp-content/plugins/google-calendar-events/includes/calendars/views/default-calendar-list.php on line 340 Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /home/cluster-sites/7055/b/bethnalgreenacademy.co.uk/public_html/wp-content/plugins/google-calendar-events/includes/calendars/views/default-calendar-list.php on line 343

and on the calendar page all events just show up with the word “Event”

It has been working fine until a few days ago – any suggestions would help!

    Best regards

    Steve

  • I noticed this morning that none of my calendar information was showing anymore.

You may have tried this already, but I cleared that cache on each of my Simple Calendar calendars and now everything is showing.

Thanks for the tip – unfortunately this hasn’t worked for me.

    Having the same issue

Google calendar was down for a bit this morning which caused everything to be down. The few iframe version google calendars are back up now, but simple calendar events are still not working. I verified that the API key was correct. I cleared the cache on the calendars

currently it shows that todays date is “1969, Dec 31” then “Nothing from June 30, 2016 to July 1, 2016.”

    Hi Josh

Thanks for that Same results here. Still not working since googles server outrage.

When I tried deleting the plugin, I checked both delete settings and Erase Calendar data in the advanced tab in settings.

On re-install I found that it had not deleted the categories – so the delete all is not functioning properly.

When I re-imported the calendars I noticed that there was no spinning ball whilst the plugin checked the google id.

This lead me to the Tools – System report where there is a worrying message in red:-

\WP Remote GET No (couldn’t connect to host)\

I think this means that the plugin is no longer connecting to the google servers?

Anyone know how to fix this? Or is it a Google server problem?

    Best regards

You are still having issues with it after the Google issue? Mine are all up and working still so just want to make sure.

I’m still having issues on the school site we use this plugin on. I’ve checked the API key, even recreated the key to make sure that wasn’t the issue.

Have you tried clearing the cache for that calendar?

I have cleared the cache on the calendars

    Yes still having problems

    https://www.bethnalgreenacademy.co.uk/calendar

The plugin simply no longer functions – what we have had to do (until this is resolved), is use the google cals iframe embed. It looks awful and can’t be styled, but at least it works.

    https://www.bethnalgreenacademy.co.uk/bga-calendar/

I don’t think that it is an issue with the plugin because when it failed, I tried several other plugins and ALL had a problem retrieving the cals. So it looks like it’s an issue with google. If you have access to the google devs maybe you should flag this up with them.

We have finally found the solution.
Somehow the outrage attack has been able to alter certain security settings (i’ll post what settings when the tecs explain)in the main google account dashboard.

what we found was that in the individual share this calendar settings
the option to “see all events settings” was greyed out and only allowed one to select “see only free/busy” One can fix this by going into the main account dashboard.

    Now https://www.bethnalgreenacademy.co.uk/bga-calendar/ is functioning again!

Oh well more unpaid work putting it all back again!

I’m still having problem with my calendars located at

    List view:
    https://centennial.provo.edu/

    and full view:
    https://centennial.provo.edu/parent-essentials/calendar/

I’ve verified my API key. I’ve even went as far as creating a completely additional project with new key. I’ve verified that the calendar ID is correct. I’ve cleared the cache. I’ve made sure that my share settings show share public with “all event details”.

Any other suggestions on things i can try to get this working?

Edit: This appears to be a different issue. The events are now showing up. I’m still having a separate issue but that is not related to this thread. I’ll open a different ticket.

Ok I am going to mark this as resolved now since it was not on our side. I will look for your other thread Josh.

Thanks for keeping me informed on what was going on.
