• I’m working on a client’s site and we’ve purchased and installed the Events Manager — WooCommerce Add-On in order to use Woocommerce for booking payments.

This plugin seems to be broken, or in need of updating.

After installing the plugin, it seems to have broken some of the javascript and buttons for adding the booking to the Woo cart.

The booking IS added to the cart, but no confirmation is displayed to tell the user, and the Ajax cart widget does not update to show that the booking was added until the user goes to a different page on the site.

Also, if an event is already booked, the “Book Now” button does NOT reflect that the user has already booked if they return to the event page.

Clicking the “Submit Booking” button a second time *does* reload the page with the “Already booked” message, but it is NOT formatted as a Woocommerce error and is easily missed.

It seems like the plugin just needs some minor updates to fix these cosmetic/javascript problems.

I’ve been going through the plugin code myself, but I could use some pointers on a manual fix for this, if anybody is successfully using this plugin.

NOTE: I can not use Woocommerce Support, as the plugin is not a choice on the extension support ticket page.

I notice in the EM 6.4 release notes:
“rewritten booking form JS to remove dependence on jQuery entirely”

The EM – Woo plugin code says “jQuery will load as a dependency”.

So it seems like that would break it? =(

According to the code, it appears that this plugin is supposed to REPLACE the default “Submit Booking” button with an “Add to Cart” button, and return WooCommerce formatted Messages/Errors: “Added to cart”, etc. using Ajax.

It does NOT do this at all.
I even switched my Woocommerce product settings to redirect to the cart upon adding a product, and this did NOT fix the problem.

We have 30 days until we’ll have to refund this plugin if it’s not updated/fixed.

I have the same problem – not showing the cart or option to proceed to checkout.
