    Dynamic Widgets takes a bit different approach for (Custom) Posts. You have to tick the checkbox (Make exception rule available to individual posts and tags) at the top in the DW Widget admin. Set your default for the (Custom) Post and create the exceptions in the (Custom) Post itself.
