• My ISP limits the number of emails I can send in a given time period. Any exceeding this limit vanish. For my other sites, I have solved this problem with the excellent GD Mail Queue plugin, which intercepts WP Mail emails and sends them out via a queue at a configurable rate. Emails with multiple cc or bcc recipients get sent individually via the queue. You can configure which go via the queue and which are sent directly. You can also configure it to use SMTP to actually send the emails. GD Mail Queue allows the user to overcome many of your concerns with WP Mail.

Sadly, I cannot use Events Manager Email Users because it does not use WP Mail for reasons you have stated elsewhere and hence emails cannot be intercepted by GD Mail Queue. Without queueing, I would exceed the permitted email rate.

Would you reconsider the omission of the WP Mail option or otherwise suggest how I could dribble out emails at a managed rate?
