Events Manager Broke My Navigation in ThemeForest RT Theme 15

  • I was previously using WordPress version 3.5 and had the Events Manager plugin installed. Everything was working perfectly on my website, until I updated WordPress to version 3.5.1.

    Everything is still working except the accordion drop downs for my navigation.

    This is a dire need for my clients website, so if anyone has information as to how I can get the accordion drop-downs working again, that’d be awesome.

    If there is no solution to this, can someone please point me in the direction of a replacement for Events Manager

    Figured out the problem here, so I’ll put it on the internet for others.

    The issue here is when you use jQuery UI(from Events Manager plugin) in combination with the vertical menu javascript code from Lukasz Czerwinski provided by RT Theme 15.

    jQuery UI provides a menu() function, which overrides the menu() which we want, and which is called from the script.js file.

    My solution was to edit the minified menu_min.js file and change the function to menu2() and also change the script.js file to reflect this. All is well now.

    bmzpert1 where do I find these files? I do not have access to the c-panel so all I have to work with are the files within WordPress.

    I checked the Plugin Editor files and can’t find any file like this for Events Manager, and I also checked the Theme Editor files for the RT Theme 15 theme and can’t find it anywhere either…

    Do I have to access the files through the c-panel in order to fix this?
