Events Manager 5.2.4 (Sykes) Screen freezes during installation

    Installed 5.2.3 on a test site last week and it worked GREAT!! (my site is installed with Genesis a Genesis framework – Version: 1.8.2 see https://www.yess1.com/imara/home == if the site defaults to my root, replace the word beta1 with imara).

    I tried to Install 5.2.4 on the production site and the screen freezes during installation. If I then open a new tab and try to view the site or enter the dashboard, the screen remains blank. I had to go into my file manager and delete the plugin to get my site (and the dashboard) to reappear.

    Is there a fix or work-around currently available?

    work around: I went back and installed WordPress 3.4.1 and my Events manager 5.2.4 installed correctly. (I then updated my WordPress back to 3.4.2).

  • Have you tried to temporarily:

    – deactivating all other plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems

    – turn-on WP_DEBUG to see if there’s any other error or see your php logs

    – see browser error console if there’s any javascript error.
