  • have you tried to revert or preview your site using default theme? also, try disabling plugins.

    chances are you have either a javascript issue, or the returned data is broken for some reason, try the above (as 99% of the time this is a plugin/theme conflict) but maybe we can tell if we see the issue in action.

    Thanks, it appears to have been a conflict with two plugins:
    Better WP Security, v.3.2.6
    WP-Filebase, v.0.2.9.14

    I mention it so that the three plugin vendors can get an FYI.

    Thanks again,
    Richard

    New developments:
    I thought I had it whipped; but NOT.
    With the two plugins identified earlier deactivated, I stated to get repeat problems as seen earlier: The widget didn’t show any dates, just the header, “Events Manager”.
    So I started deactivating other plugins one-by-one. First it appeared that the fslider v.0.2 was the conflict. That worked for about two screen refreshes, then the problem returned. Back to deactivating one-by-one again. This time it was shareaholic v.5.0.0.4.
    I’m seeing a trend here, I think. Could it be something in the EM that is conflicting in the current WP version???

    @agelonwl,
    Yes, I did do that. Didn’t help.
    Problem persists in Chrome 19.0.1084.52 m and Firefox 12.0

    I think it’s a great plugin, but am having a hard time justifying the Pro version at the current price-point given this ongoing issue. (I see that Akismet has a new pricing method: you use a slider to set the price you think it’s worth, and pay that. Now that I can live with; a great negotiating method that leads to a quick ‘meeting-of-the-minds’ and probably fewer potential purchasers walking away.) — Back on topic:

    I wish there was a way to quickly find any commonalities between all the involved plugins, so as to be able to workaround within a couple of hours.

    unfortunately, sometimes plugin combinations don’t work, it’s out of our control, we can only fix the issues/bugs/conflicts we cause.

    another user had issues with Better WP Security, so hopefully the author will respond, tagging both plugins here
