Hello,

Am having some problems with implementing the pagination feature on my events listings. The pagination itself works fine, but from page 2 onwards, my category list sidebar no longer displays any content. (The category list displays fine on the first page).

The shortcode I am using to display the category list (from within a sidebar widget) is:

<ul>[categories_list hide_empty=0]<li>#_CATEGORYLINK</li>[/categories_list]</ul>

Is there anything I can add to this shortcode to make it recognise pagination?

Or alternatively, is there a way of hardcoding the category list into the sidebar.php file so that pages 2 and upwards will still display the category lists?

Have you tried using the Events widget? If you replace the standard formatting for that widget with #_CATEGORYLINK it should work in the same way.

Hi,

Thanks for this suggestion.

I have added the #_CATEGORYLINK formatting within the Events widget, but this outputs a category link for every event, rather than just showing each category once.

Is there any way I can limit this behaviour from within the widget settings, or modifying the widget php code so that each category only displays once?

Hi,
I’ve got the exact same problem with the following code:
[categories_list hide_empty=0]<h4>#_CATEGORYLINK (#_CATEGORYEVENTCOUNT)</h4><br />[/categories_list]

On the first page I can see the category list without as expected (see below the events list at this address https://www.jahsound.net/events). But, from the second page (https://www.jahsound.net/events?pno=2) to the last one, no more category list… Can’t figure out why.

Yes, I haven’t been able to resolve this at all either, that suggested widget shortcode method doesn’t seem to work as intended, which is a shame, as it does significantly compromise functionality.

Fantastic plugin otherwise.
