I am trying to implement a list of events in a certain category and each time I load the page the last event (6th in the list) does not show up until I go to “Next Events” (which takes me to a page explaining there are no more events), but if I then go back to “Previous Events” my 6th event shows at the bottom of the list.

I currently have the number of events to show per page set much higher than 5 (eg. 20).

Can anyone help with this? Is it just a bug or am I doing something wrong? Other than that it seems to be a great plugin!

    Thanks.

Can you share a URL where we can see this? When you say you are trying to implement this do you mean you are building a custom view of some kind, or are you simply trying to access and use the regular events category pages?

    Thanks!

Hi @barry Hughes – I don’t think I was trying to do anything too customized. Unfortunately I can’t provide a URL at this stage, but I was just trying use the regular event category page I believe (shown as a list) with 6 events and the last one (in January 2014) was not showing even though the setting for number of events shown was higher.

Also when I manually updated to v3.2 my Dashboard seemed to get all messed up. Not sure if it was related to the 3.2 update but currently I’ve unfortunately removed the plugin as I couldn’t get it to work how I needed it to (eg. as mentioned above). Mind you, I still haven’t found an alternative solution that will do what I need.

Basically I need to be able to have one page that lists events from a particular category (and a sidebar widget that shows the same info), and another page that shows a calendar view with events from another category. I wouldn’t have thought it would be too difficult but apparently it is!! Thanks for your reply.

    Hi Crug,

It doesn’t sound too difficult and I’m surprised you are hitting difficulties if you are simply using the regular list view and the number of posts to display (in Events > Settings) is sufficiently high.

If you can share a URL at some point please do, as that might provide a few clues, otherwise I’d recommend deactivating all other plugins and switching to a default, unmodified theme such as Twenty Twelve and checking if the problem persists under those conditions.

    Thanks!
