    Hi.
    I’m using Paid Member Subscriptions along with BuddyPress. I would like to have both “public” and “private” events.

    I’d like that when a guest clicks on an event on the calendar (or categories/tags/locations/etc), he or she can see the event title but cannot see the details of the event. I have them set to be visible only to members but even guests can see the event details. I have used the pms shortcode to restrict some content on the event description but the details show anyway. The only difference is that it shows up formatted for members.

    How can I hide the details from page guests?

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    NewMommy,

    I think that you posted in the wrong forum. But I also use both of these plugins. You could try using something like this in your page or widget:

    [membership]
    <— put your content here
    [/membership]

    Thanks April. But Im using the shortcode to restrict content and the details can still be seen my non-members.

    NewMommy,

    For the default event list, navigate here:

    EventsManager>Settings>Formatting>Events>Single event page format.

    And add something like this:

    <p>
    [membership]
    LEADER:<br>
    NAME: #_CONTACTNAME<br>
    [/membership]
    </p>

    This is what I use with “Paid Memberships Pro”. If this doesn’t work for you, the “Paid Member Subscriptions” support forum may be more applicable.

    Thanks April. That works to hide the event details but it does so for all events. Some events are for the public, but others are member only. I’ll check with the PMS support. Thank you. =o)

    NewMommy,

    You’re welcome. The benefit about this is that you can use the same event page. If someone has a membership and is logged on, they will see the enclosed fields. If not, those areas will look like they don’t exist.

    However, perhaps PMP (that I use) works differently than PMS. Yes, some of the hardest past about asking for help is: how to explain the problem and where to ask.

    Best Wishes,
    ~April
