Events Excerpts – HLML coding removed

I am a volunteer who looks after a website for our local church.
And cannot afford the pro version of this plugin – unfortunately!
For some reason on our events listing page for special events using this plugin – the html coding for each event (which is available on the main calendar tooltips) is removed.
Can you tell me how I can get the HTML coding to work?
This is the code which works in the tooltip
