• Resolved chamster

Not sure how long it’s been going on, but my events are only showing up when I’m logged in to the site. I’ve tested it and found that I don’t need to be logged in as administrator; even logged in as subscriber I can see events. But as soon as I log out I can no longer see events. It just says “There are no upcoming events to display.” This goes for the calendar page as well as the sidebar widget. The site is https://www.garthstein.com. Thank you.

  • I am also having this issue. I found several different people asking for help with this issue but I can’t find any response that gets it fixed yet.

I would appreciate a reply from the plugin authors, even if they have no good solution. I really like this plugin but I need to either get this resolved or change to another calendar plugin. I’d be glad to pay for support but I don’t see any option to do so. Thanks.

I can see your events, chamster. When I first clicked the link in your first post, it went to Agenda view, and said “There are no upcoming events to display”. But when I went to month view, it showed events, beginning with August 1. Clicking the forward button on the calendar in agenda view brought up events beginning in August.

    Hi,

Go to Events -> Settings –> Viewing Events -> Default calendar start date (optional). If there is anything in that field, delete it and Save Settings.

Benjamin, Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately there is nothing in the Default Start Date field, so that is not the source of the problem. As TeqToo pointed out above, when you first visit the events page (as a non-logged-in user) it shows Agenda view and there are no events shown. But if you change to Month view, it shows the current month and its events. Then when you change back to Agenda view the events are displayed and it seems to work as normal. But still there are no events in the sidebar widget.

I may have found the issue, or *an* issue anyway. I have W3 Total Cache plugin so I went in and emptied the cache from within the plugin. Now the calendar seems to be working correctly.

I also have nothing in the Default Start Date field and still have that error.

I am glad you find a way through the issue.

    Take care,
    Ben
