    Hello!

We are using the Event Calendar in combination with Polylang. The default language of the website is Spanish and the second language is English. In English, everything works fine.

In Spanish, when you open the events page, everything is fine at first. However, when you change the view (e.g. to view per day) and then go back to view per month, there are warnings on top of the calendar for each week day:

Undefined array key “Monday” in?wp-includes/class-wp-locale.php?on line?301

We’ve already googled the issue but nothing came up. Can you help?

    Thanks!

    Hi @wplimesoda ,

    Thank you for reaching out.

Regrettably, The Events Calendar (TEC) does not have an integration with Polylang. Some areas of the plugin may work, but it’s not a guarantee of full compatibility. However, some of our other TEC plugin users have had success with using TEC along with Polylang Pro.

In that regard, I would be curious to know the stack trace of the error but I may not be able to provide a concrete solution. Have you tried reaching out to Polylang to see if this is something they’d have a solution for?

    Hey @tristan083,

    thanks for the reply!

We actually use Event Calender Pro with Polylang Pro. We’ve now debugged a little more, here’s the result / current status:

In your plugin’s file src/views/v2/month/calendar-header, there is a function called tribe_events_get_days_of_week. This function returns an array of days and it works perfectly fine for the English version of the calendar. If we switch to the Spanish version, it works fine on initial page load for the month view – but if we switch to day view and then back to month view, the function suddenly returns the English names for the week days and therefore results in the warnings.

In short, the function tribe_events_get_days_of_week returns the non-translated versions after switching the views. Is there a way how we or you could fix this?
