• Resolved jkhaskell

    (@jkhaskell)

I installed Events Calendar about a year ago, and it has been working wonderfully until recently.

    • It just disappeared… it is no longer in my Plugins list.
    • Attempting to reinstall throws an error “Installation failed: destination folder already exists”.
    • I’ve tried deleting it’s wp-content/plugins directory, and it is still throwing the above error.

All my plugins and WP versions are up to date. Everything else appears to be working ok.

What happened? How do I fix this? Thanks!!!

  • Hey @jkhaskell that’s super odd.

Before you do anything, we highly recommend backing up your site (plugins, themes and database).

Once that is done, you can delete the Events Calendar plugin files using your site’s File Manager or a FTP client. That should not impact your calendar data.

After the files are deleted, you should be able to install the plugin.

    Cheers,
    Geoff
