Events Calendar: probleme with special characters

  • Hi, I’m french, so excuse me if my English language is not right .

    I use the plugin “WP Events Calendar” latest version (6.7.11 |) very nice plugin that I had fun customizing only at the css .

    My problem

    quotation marks (‘) and apostrophes (“) are found automatically preceded by a “\” as you can see here https://www.boobalechat.com/wordpress/

    and if I try to modify an event “è” are converted to “? ¨” .

    if the second problem is not too annoying , the first is.

    the problems are visible on the blog as on the dashboard (screenshot (https://sd-1.archive-host.com/membres/images/18780967388263786/wp-ec.jpg)

    I also tested the plugin (without modifications) on another wordpress site: new web-site without plugin, the problem is the same.

    This is a known issue. I am in the process of a complete rewrite of this plugin and that problem is addressed in the new version. You can monitor updates at the main site.

    A question just out of curiosity (I am too respectful of your work, (IN ADDITION volunteers) to be pressed), have you got an idea of ??the date of release of version 7?
    I wanted to prepare an article about my customization (a lot of CSS3) and the probleme to customize for safari, but I prefer wait the release of this next version, which looks promising.

    I am hesitant to give a response regarding a timeline because I have a lot of things going on besides the plugin. My hope is to have it done within a month, but right now I am job hunting so that is going to take priority. I will try to post updates as I know more.
