    Hello,

On the website of one of my customer, the Events calendar info block/widget totally disappeared: when we create or edit an event, there is no option to setup the time & date, location etc. This panel is not here anymore (this one: https://imgur.com/a/AoJXphh)

I checked “Screen Options”, there is no “Events Calendar” item (but Event Status, Event options are here)

I did the troubleshooting already, deactivate all plugins, change theme, the issue is still here.

I installed The Events Calendar on another website, and the panel is here.

    What could we do ?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi @doobeedoo

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having this issue. Let me help you with this one.

Could you try to deactivate all our plugins, manually update them to the latest versions, reactivate them, and see if that makes a difference?

Let me know how it goes.

    Hello Darian,

    Thank you for your answer

I already deactivated all plugins and changed the theme to test, so updating them manually or not would not change anything, and we are just changing something that is deactivated

But to be sure that you would follow this conversion, I did it: I download the plugins one by one from www.remarpro.com and uploaded them to overwrite existing versions

    The problem is still here

I looked in the source code of the page “New event” on another website, and found the id “tribe_events_event_details”

When I look at the source of the website with the issue, this is not here at all in the code (I checked this to be sure it’s not hidden by something)

Then I finally found out that unchecking The Events Calendar option “Enable the Gutenberg block editor interface for creating events.” solves the problem. This website somehow is using the “Classic editor” plugin.

So the bug seems to be: when the plugin “Classic editor” is here and the option “Enable the Gutenberg block editor interface for creating events” is checked, the panel “Events Calendar” will not be displayed

    Hope it helps

    Best regards

    Hi @doobeedoo

I’m glad to hear that you were ultimately able to find a solution. It’s great that unchecking the “Enable the Gutenberg block editor” option in The Events Calendar plugin resolved the problem.

If you have any other questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

    Hello Darian,

So I found a big bug in your plugin, and spent time to find it’s cause and informed you about it – you’re welcome

The bug seems to be: when the plugin “Classic editor” is here and the option “Enable the Gutenberg block editor interface for creating events” is checked in Events Calendar, the panel “Events Calendar” will not be displayed

Any plan to solve it on your side?

    Hi @doobeedoo

    Thanks for your message.

I was able to replicate the issue on my test site after I activate the Classic Editor plugin while using Block Editor from Events > Settings.

However, after I updated the “Allow users to switch editors” option to “Yes” from Settings > Writing page, the issue went away.

Could you try the same thing on your end, and see if that works for you?

    Hi,
I have also the problem, that the widget is not showing. I do not have Classic Editor activated.
I think it’s a conflict with the theme I’m using (Uncode), cause when I try the widget with a default wordpress theme, it’s working.
Do I need to look with the theme developpers or you ?
What I know, is that with the old version of the events calendar, it works with this theme. I have another website with still the old version.

    Regard

    Hello @jumpinsteph,

    Thanks for your reply.

Yes. Since the issue is from the theme, we strongly recommend contacting the theme developer to look into it since we don’t own or support it.

    I hope that helps.

    Hi @frankremmy,

I contacted the theme support. They can’t find the problem and said it must come from The Events Calendar, cause with the old version of your plugin 5.14.0.4 (and same theme), the widget was showing, it works perfectly, but with the version 6.3.0, it’s not working. I can add all the widget I want, it’s ok, just The Events Calendar where there is a problem.

Here is the testing website: https://jumpinsteph.ch/
On the sidebar on the right, under the search widget, this is where the events calendar widget must show… but nothing with the 6.3.0 version.

Do you have an idea ?
    Thanks
