Events Calendar crashed my homepage

I had the same problem, and found a setting in this plugin that needed to be unchecked:

“Include events in main blog loop”
Show events with the site’s other posts. When this box is checked, events will also continue to appear on the default events page.

This returned my homepage to the static one that was selected under the General settings.

We do have some clean-up work to do in relation to that setting so we ought to see improvements rolling out with our next set of maintenance releases.

I love love The Events Calendar, so thank you! However, I have a similar problem. I do not have the ‘Show events with the site’s other posts’ box checked (when I did do that it made my homepage a blog page), but when I updated today half of my homepage disappeared. Before the updates everything was working fine. Then all my content was not visible (now it looks like all the other pages are fine, except the homepage). I checked all the plugins and the Events Calendar seems to be the issue. I am still using it, because it is awesome, but I would love my homepage back as soon as possible. Please help.
