Events Booking Page and Theme Conflict

    Hi,
    So I have this problem with the events plugin where the booking page (https://theseednetwork.wpengine.com/submit-your-event/) is not functioning correctly. The datepicker doesn’t show up and the add media button doesnt work as well. I am using both wordpress 3.5.1 and Events manager 5.4.3. I also tried deactivating all the plugins, but that didnt seem to change anything. I believe it has something to do with a javascript theme conflict but I am not quite sure of how to correct this problem. Is there any way you can help me out with this problem?

  • Hi Ryan,

    If you switch to the default theme, are the problems fixed? Sometimes badly coded themes interfere with the admin area.

    If not, does deactivating Events Manager make the Add Media button start working?

    I did switch to a default theme and it started to work. So is there an easy way around finding where the problem is and fixing it?

    If this is a premium theme you should request help from the developer – themes shouldn’t interfere with the admin area.

    Otherwise, trying looking in the functions.php file of your theme to see if there’s any point where it seems to be loading javascript files or jQuery into the admin interface and try removing or commenting it out.
