We use Event Manager plugin and Mailpoet 2 had events in addition to posts, to be added to the newsletter content. However, with Mailpoet 3, events are not available to be added to the content. There are only 4 options – posts, pages, media and projects when you add the Posts content type. Does this mean it is not compatible with Event Manager yet? Please advise. Thanks.

Can someone please confirm that events in the content are not supported yet by Mailpoet 3 so we can revert to Mailpoet 2 until Mailpoet 3 is ready for events. Thanks!

    Hi there @karencheah,

Post, Pages, Media, Projects are all custom post types. Projects is not a standard WordPress post type either like Post/Pages/Media are.

This means something in your event plugin is preventing MailPoet from listing the “event” post type, this could be down to the way the plugin registers the post type in the list, despite it working in MailPoet V2. You may want to check with the event plugin author about this.

    Thanks!

The event plug in author has no clue why this won’t work in MailPoet.

This issue was solved by a smart user who analyzed the error logs. In the Events Manager settings, make sure that events are WordPress searchable.

Go to Events Manager settings —> Pages —> Location/List Archives. Make sure the button is selected next to “include in WordPress searches” otherwise MailPoet 3 can’t find your events.

MP2 did not have this issue.

This drove me crazy for several months with no usable help from the MP team.
