event_limit shortcode setting overridden by default setting

Hi,

I’m using the following shortcode on a page to show just a few upcoming events –

[ai1ec view=”agenda” events_limit=”5″]

Which initially displays fine (next 5 events) – however, if you click the date bar and selected a different date it returns the number of results set in ‘Events > Settings > Agenda posts to display at most’ (currently 10)

I have a primary calendar page, on which I do want to show 10 events.

I tried setting ‘Events > Settings > Agenda posts to display at most’ to 5 and this allows the shortcode to work ok.

However, now if I apply events_limit=”10″ to my primary calendar – when you click on the date bar there and select a different date only 5 results return.

Please could you either make (or have an option to make) the shortcode request take precedence over the general settings?
