    That said, I can see why you would reasonably expect all three events to be returned and will look into resolving this.

    I actually realised that it simply doesn’t show past events. So if you call an event by its ID, and that event is in the past, the shortcode doesn’t show the event.

    I understand the exclusion of past events for shortcode instances that pull events by category, venue, etc but it doesn’t make a lot of sense when the events are called for explicitly by their ID/slug.

    I think some kind of trigger would be useful i.e. [event_embed event=”foo” showpast=”yes”]. That way it wouldn’t break peoples’ implementations that require past events to not be shown.

    Yep that’s an interesting idea. It also occurs to me that you could likely workaround it by setting from and to attributes suitably far in the past/far in the future.

    Not ideal, but it might give you a temporary workaround.
