Event website shows up badly formatted and duplicated

    Hi,

    For some reason the “Event website” URL shows up badly formatted and duplicated on all my single event pages, like this:

    I’m using the Hungarian translation of the plugin with the “updated calendar designs” disabled. Also, the linked website is an exact copy of the production site. The development site uses the most recent versions of WordPress and all plugins, including The Events Calendar. I have also removed all theme customizations, but wasn’t able to get to the root of the issue.

    Could you please advise how to resolve this?

    I turned on the option “Yes, automatically share my system information with the Modern Tribe support team” in my WordPress admin. Is that enough for you?

    Hi @arpen

    Thanks for providing me with that information. I’m not quite sure why you’re seeing this there, as I’m not seeing the same results on my test site.

    As a next step, can you try a quick test and see if the functionality works as expected with a bare WordPress install? A bare install is basically a default WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty and no other plugins besides ours installed. You may want to consider trying this out on a staging site so that you don’t have to switch things around on your live site.

    Hi @jaimemarchwinski,

    Thanks for the tip. I tested on a blank install (everything worked perfectly), and after that, I changed the linked site’s template to Twenty Twenty. Since the URL was displaying correctly, I suspected that something was up with the custom template of the website. However, I already ruled out the template modifications, because I disabled them earlier. I found that the issue was with and old functions.php snippet that I added to make the website URL display as a button. After removing that snippet, everything works correctly.
