Event Views Selection

I’ve loaded my first calendar and it is coming along nicely. The only challenge I have is that the display for view drop down selection looks odd. On my site I see the view selected twice (Month and Month). This does not appear to be accurate based on the other showcase sights you highlight:

Another result of this display issue is that it make the entire search bar much taller than I would prefer. Any ideas?
