When I publish events the event url field wont save to the event and show on the single event. Anyone using this feature and now what could cause this to happen?

I choose physical location. But the url field is still present. So I thought it should be for event information – link to the event organizers homepage for more info etc.

You could add a custom attribute (e.g, #_ATT{EVENTURL}) and then update the single event format to display that field.

Thanks for the tip. But that would present two fields to input url for the users. Since the location url is always present – when it seems it should only be present when choosing online event if I am not mistaken. Hmm.

I read here also, no real solution to the UX: https://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/event-attributes/

I also realized I think its a miss from the plugin. It uses conditional logic for all location fields except the url field.

So it should hide the url field if we choose physical location. Because it wont save that value when using the physical location (if the user would use it to link to their website for more info).

However the field works when I choose online event… so its dedicated for that purpose only and thus should not be visible for physical location.

I wonder which template handles this – perhaps it could be changed in some easy manner.
