Event URL doesn’t display link text

I’m not sure since what version this has been happening, but URL locations don’t show link text, only empty URL, so nothing gets displayed on front end.
Example (yes, text field is field out in the event):
<p> <strong>Location</strong><br> <a href="https://www...."></a> </p>

Tried it. #_LOCATIONNAME is just always blank, assuming because the event does not have a physical location.
I was able to get it to show at least something with
<a href='#_LOCATIONURL'>#_LOCATIONURL</a>
but I now noticed it shows the wrong link. #_LOCATIONURL shows the same link as #_EVENTURL, the local link for the event (they link to the page you’re already on) instead of the location url entered in the event.So none of the placeholders display location URL and link text.
