Event Type selection not shown in backend anymore

When I create or edit an event in the backend, the selection for the event type is not shown anymore.
It used to be located at the right side in the block settings section along with the event thumbnail and other settings, but it does not appear there anymore.

In the field editor, the default field for event types “_event_type” that gets the options from “event_listing_type” is also active with no effect.
The selection for the event type is not shown anywhere.

In the plugin settings “Enable Event types for listing and submission form.” and “Enable event type multiselect by default.” are checked.

Is there anything I can do?
