We updated Event Tickets from 4.6.1.1 to 4.8.4.1 and encountered a 500 error in the backend. When we deactivated the The Events Calendar: Remove QR Codes plugin, that fixed the issue.

    This is the error:

[21-Nov-2018 20:07:14 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'RuntimeException' with message 'Error while making 'tickets-plus.main': 'tickets-plus.main' is not a bound alias or an existing class.' in /www/wp-content/plugins/event-tickets/common/vendor/lucatume/di52/src/tad/DI52/Container.php:348

We can provide access to the staging site we’re using.

    Thanks.

Sorry to hear that. Just to confirm, where did you source The Events Calendar: Remove QR Codes from?

    Hey Barry,

This is the page we got the plugin from: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/hide-qr-code-from-event-emails/ and the plugin says the author is Modern Tribe (https://theeventscalendar.com/).

I installed this on May 21st.

Visiting that URL now, it looks like the page no longer exists.

    Thanks.

    Hey Barry,

Is the “The Events Calendar: Remove QR Codes” plugin no longer supported?

Is there a replacement we could use to remove the QR codes from ticket emails? Any guidance you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Sure! There is now a setting in the Events ? Settings ? Tickets screen to turn QR codes on and off, so if you do need that functionality it is still there – it’s just been baked into the plugin itself (no extension needed!) ??

That’s awesome, thanks! I’ll mark this as resolved and let you know if we encounter any issues.

How would I target the qr code? I’m using RSVP as most of our events are free and I don’t want attendees to have to put in their cc info. As soon as they RSVP then an email with the QR code is sent which is fine but I want to be able to use that QR code in FU emails that are sent from my email cms. I was looking for the meta where the unique url was generated but haven’t found as of yet.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
