Event Status options?

    Hi, presales Q really.

    Im considering changing events plugin due to various capabilities yours offers, however I’m unable to work out how to display in Content Views Pro based upon the plugins custom fields.

    Does Events Manager have a ‘Status’ field? As in, Open when it is created and ‘Archived’ once the end date has passed? If so what are they?

    the views I have are based on the “{date} = Now + Past and {status} = open”

    I also have an issue, which wasn’t happening on the other plugin, the once an event is viewed it can no longer be seen in the views list? this may not be the problem of this plugin, but its certainly weird.

    However, some of your questions here are in the free version hosted here, so I can answer that ??

    I’m assuming Content View Pro is a plugin, if so, I can’t comment on compatibility as I’ve never used it.

    We don’t have a status for past/future events. We determine this based on their event dates, which are stored in the wp_postmeta fields. This will change slightly as of 5.8.1 (due to timezone support) but currently _start_ts/_end_ts provide timestamps and _event_start_date _event_start_time (same for end date/times) provide date/times.

    Thanks for your reply. I understand about policy however you may have almost got me to where i need to go.

    In terms of _start_ts and _end_ts what do these fields contain? maybe its something i can work with on those.

    Hi Matt, they currently contain a number that represents a timestamp.

    We will, however, be changing this in the next udpate, where _event_start and _event_end will represent a mysql DATETIME formatted value in UTC timezone.

    We’ll still be saving the _start and _end meta fields, but they’ll eventually be phased out. If you want local time now, use _event_start_date/time and _event_end_date/time, they’ll remain as DATE and TIME files
