Event Registration – No Payment Received! on PayPal redirect to payments page

  • I have implemented the plugin but am having two issues, when the user selects an event and are redirected to PayPal, they then make the payment. Right, from here, there are two issues:

    1. Both parties receive an email confirmation from PayPal as a receipt to buyer and confirmation for the webmasters paypal account. On Event Registration settings, I have turned off registration confirmation emails, but left the payment confirmation emails on, these payment confirmation emails don’t make it through to the buyer.

    2. The other associated problem I’m having, even though the buyer makes payment via paypal successfully, I have tested and can confirm that funds leave their account, and the webmasters paypal account does receive the funds, when they are redirected back to the website, they get an error message stating ‘No Payments Received! Total Payment Due*:xxx’ even though they have by now received a receipt on their email from PayPal. My worry with this is that the book now button remains at the bottom of this payment page and some users may try and pay again.     p.s. thought I should mention, I have the WP Security plugin installed, is there anything on there that could be blocking it?

    Ok, I kinda answered myself in the last one, I was in maintenance mode with WP Security, so the error page is resolved, but I still don’t get the Payment confirmation email through, anyone have any ideas?

    Well I’ve turned back on the registration confirmation emails, which they do come through now, but the payment confirmation emails still don’t after a successful transaction.

    The other annoying issue I have now is that the sender name in the registration confirmation email comes through as [email protected] Which is the start of the mobile number on the site and the x’s being the server name the site is hosted on!!! Any ideas how to get this email to be anything else except the above?
