    Hi there,

I have recently installed this event plugin and am having trouble setting the price for events. I have created the event, venue and event area but when i go to create a price there is no option for me to select. The price section has a drop down menu to choose from but where do i make the prices to choose from?

My WordPress version is 5.1.1 which says it is up to date.

  • You set the price in the “event area.” The name “event area” is deceptive, as it really seems to mean “ticket type.” It is the only place I have found where I can set a ticket price. So I have my venue, and then I have 5 different “event areas” which are not areas at all, they’re just different priced tickets. I’d love to learn that I’m doing it wrong and what the correct way to go about it is, but this is the best I’ve found so far.

    Hello There,

To set your first events after installing Opentickets Community and WooCommerce on your WordPress Installation –
    1. Create A Product
    2. Create A Venue
    3. Create your General Admission Event Area: you will select your ticket price from products created / enter your capacity / select the venue / optionally add an imaged
    4. Create your Event – Add your event settings
    5. Publish your event

You can also find great videos further explaining the process on your site – https://opentickets.com/videos/

I figured out that there were a couple problems. The first being that the theme i was using wasn’t allowing for Woocommerce to be updated so i was unable to create products with set prices. To fix this i chose another theme that was similar and changed the website over which wasn’t too hard as most of the pages were created with Elementor so it transferred over nicely.
The second problem was the plugin conflict with YOAST SEO which many other people have run into. It stops you from being able to change settings such as venue and event area when configuring the event. So i had to delete that plugin in order to get things working. Everything is working fine now.
